Practical information
NOAH’s Open Day event on Langøya takes place annually in August. The date is usually the first Saturday after the schools have gone back. The event is announced in Jarlsberg, Gjengangeren, Tønsbergs Blad, Drammens Tidende and on NOAH’s website.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Open Day on Langøya-both children and adults from near and far.
During the day, NOAH’s car ferry “Kalkøy” has a crossing from Hakan – Langøya every 45 minutes. The ferry crossing and attendance at the event is of course free of charge.
On Langøya we provide a BBQ, coffee, mineral water, fizzy drinks, ice cream and waffles. Visitors also get a tour of the plant, information stand and other informative activities about how we handle and stabilise hazardous waste. There are plenty of opportunities to ask our experts any questions.
More detailed information will be available nearer the date. We reserve the right to make programme changes from one year to the next.
